Dr. Bilus D. Poles, DDS, MAGD, is the founder and lead dentist at Omni Dental of Arlington Heights, Illinois. With over 22 years of clinical practice in the United States and a commitment to education that goes far beyond what licensure requires, Dr. Poles brings a rare depth of expertise to every patient he cares for.
Dr. Poles earned his first dental degree from the University of Baghdad College of Dentistry in 1996, where he practiced for three years before relocating to the United States. He then completed his second dental degree at the University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC) College of Dentistry in 2007 — one of the nation’s most respected dental programs. Since graduating, he has never stopped learning.
Dr. Poles has accumulated more than 2,500 hours of continuing dental education, spanning every major discipline in dentistry. In 2012, he earned his Fellowship from the Academy of General Dentistry (FAGD) — one of dentistry’s most respected career milestones. In 2020, he reached the highest level of that organization: Master of the Academy of General Dentistry (MAGD), an achievement completed by fewer than 2% of dentists in the United States and Canada. This requires over 1,100 hours of continuing education, including 400 hands-on clinical hours, and passage of a rigorous board-level exam. He has since been recognized with the AGD’s Lifelong Learning and Service Recognition (LLSR) award, reflecting over 1,600 total hours of dental study and 100+ hours of community service.
Dr. Poles is a Board Certified Diplomate of the International Congress of Oral Implantologists (ICOI) and a Diplomate of the International Dental Implant Association (IDIA). He completed 300 credit hours of advanced implant training through the American Academy of Implant Dentistry (AAID) Maxi-Course in Dallas, Texas, and has trained at the internationally renowned ILAPEO Institute in Curitiba, Brazil (2022 and 2025). Additional specialty training includes All-on-X techniques at the 3M Institute in California, advanced orthodontics through PosOrtho, and dental laser proficiency certified by the American Board of Laser Surgery.
Beyond clinical practice, Dr. Poles has delivered oral health education at local schools, provided free dental care at community events for low-income patients, and volunteered with the Assyrian Aid Society. He mentors pre- and post-graduate dental students who shadow at his practice.
Languages Spoken: English, Spanish, Assyrian, Arabic
Dr. Poles’ philosophy is straightforward: provide compassionate, evidence-based dental care that respects each patient’s individual needs while helping them maintain healthy smiles for life.
