Hello everyone, I’m Dr. Bilus Poles from Omni Dental in Arlington Heights, Illinois. Today, I want to share a unique experience that combines my passion for dentistry, my love for history, and my commitment to supporting the community.

Recently, I had the honor of participating in a silent auction organized by the Assyrian Cultural Foundation (ACF) and the Assyrian Renaissance. This event was a part of their ongoing efforts to raise funds for various programs aimed at preserving and promoting Assyrian culture and heritage. As an active member of the community, I was excited to contribute to this cause and support the invaluable work of the ACF.

The auction featured a range of items, but one, in particular, caught my eye – a rare Assyrian text titled “ܬܫܥܝܬܐ ܕܐܬܘܪ: ܡܢ 4500 ܫܢܐ ܩܕܡ ܡܫܝܚܐ ܗܠ ܫܢܬܐ 1940 ܡܢ ܒܬܪ ܡܫܝܚܐ” or “History of Assyria: From 4500 Years Before Christ until the year 1940 After Christ” by Meneshi S. Amira. As a lover of history, I was immediately drawn to this piece.

Upon seeing the text, I was immediately captivated by its historical significance. This wasn’t just a book; it was a tangible piece of Assyrian history, a testament to a civilization that has withstood the test of time. I knew then that this text would be more than just a personal possession. It would serve as a symbol of my commitment to preserving and promoting Assyrian culture and heritage.

The text is a comprehensive chronicle of Assyrian history, tracing its roots from 4500 years before Christ until the year 1940. It’s a testament to the resilience and rich culture of the Assyrian people. As I leaf through the pages, I’m transported back in time, gaining insights into the ancient civilization’s achievements, struggles, and evolution.

This experience has deepened my appreciation for Assyrian history and culture. It’s a reminder of the importance of preserving our heritage and passing it on to future generations. I’m proud to have this text in my possession, and I’m even prouder to have supported the Assyrian Renaissance’s mission.

I want to extend my heartfelt thanks to the Assyrian Renaissance for organizing the silent auction. Their dedication to preserving and promoting Assyrian culture is truly inspiring. I’m grateful for the opportunity to contribute to their cause and look forward to continuing my support in the future.

To everyone reading this, I encourage you to explore Assyria’s rich history and culture. Whether it’s through reading a book, attending a cultural event, or visiting a museum, there’s so much to learn and appreciate. And if you ever have the opportunity to support organizations like the Assyrian Renaissance, I highly recommend it. Not only will you gain a deeper understanding of our shared history, but you’ll also be contributing to its preservation for future generations.

In the meantime, I’ll be here at Omni Dental, serving the northwest Chicago suburbs and providing our patients with the highest quality dental care. And who knows? Maybe one day, you’ll see this rare Assyrian text displayed in our office, a symbol of our shared history and a testament to the importance of preserving our cultural heritage.
