How to compare dentists before you book
No list can tell you which dentist suits your family. You can compare offices on facts you can check yourself:
- 1 License. Look up any Illinois dentist on the state’s IDFPR license search. Dr. Poles’ license number is 019.027365.
- 2 Training. He is a Master (2020) and Fellow (2012) of the Academy of General Dentistry, with 2,500+ hours of continuing education. You can read more about Dr. Poles’ training.
- 3 Transparency. Ask to see your X-rays and photos, so you can see what the dentist sees.
- 4 Reviews. Look for patterns about quality of care, not single comments. Omni holds a 5.0 Google rating from 541 reviews, and you can read what patients say.
- 5 Scope. Ask which treatments stay in the office and which are referred out.

How to keep dental costs predictable
The least expensive dental work is usually the work you never need. These steps help keep costs clear:
- Use your plan fully. Many plans cover checkups at a higher level than major work. Omni accepts most major plans, including Delta Dental, MetLife, Cigna, Aetna and BlueCross BlueShield.
- Keep up preventive care. Cleanings and checkups protect your oral health and catch small problems before they need bigger repairs.
- Ask for the work ranked by urgency. Treat what hurts or is infected first, then plan the rest over time.
- Compare options. A missing tooth can be replaced with a partial denture, a bridge or implant care, and each has its own cost and trade-offs.

Care for every generation in one office
Here is what stays under one roof at Omni:
- Prevention: exams, cleanings and laser therapy for gum disease.
- Repairs: fillings, bonding, crowns, bridges and root canals.
- Tooth replacement: implants, All-on-4, full arch care and dentures.
- Cosmetic dentistry: whitening, veneers, Invisalign and smile makeovers.
- Urgent care: emergency visits and extractions during office hours.
- Sleep: sleep apnea and snoring treatment.

Questions
Frequently asked questions
Do not see your question? Call us and we will talk it through.
Call (847) 483-8833What does MAGD after a dentist's name mean?
MAGD stands for Master of the Academy of General Dentistry. Dentists earn it through extensive continuing education across many areas of dentistry, after first earning Fellowship. Dr. Poles became a Fellow in 2012 and a Master in 2020.
Can my parents and kids be seen at the same visit time?
Ask about booking family members together when you call (847) 483-8833, and the front desk will look for times that work for your family. Children, teens, adults and grandparents are all seen at the same office.
What should I bring to the first visit?
Bring a photo ID, your insurance card, a list of your medicines and any recent X-rays from your last dentist. Recent X-rays can save repeat images, though Dr. Poles may still need new ones to see what has changed.
Is Arlington Heights far from Des Plaines?
For most Des Plaines residents it is a short drive. Rand Road connects the two through Mount Prospect, and the office sits at 305 E. Rand Road.
