From Randhurst to our office on Rand Road
Mount Prospect and Arlington Heights share a border, and Rand Road ties them together. From the Randhurst Village area, Rand Road leads northwest to our office. From downtown Mount Prospect, Northwest Highway is another easy way in.
Implant treatment usually includes several visits and check-ups spread over a few months, so a short trip matters. We are open Monday to Friday, 10 AM to 6 PM.

Is your denture slipping, clicking or rubbing?
Many people searching for denture implants near Mount Prospect already wear a denture and are tired of it moving. A lower denture is often the hardest to keep in place. It has a smaller surface to rest on and no palate to create suction.
Implants change that. A small number of posts in the jaw act as anchors, and the denture clicks onto them. You can talk, laugh and eat with less worry about it shifting, and with less need for adhesive.
Read more about how implant-supported dentures work, including partial and palateless designs.
Snap-in denture or fixed full arch: what is the difference?
Implant-supported teeth come in two main styles. Here is how they compare:
| Snap-in implant denture | Fixed full arch (such as All-on-4) | |
|---|---|---|
| Comes out? | Yes, you remove it to clean | No, only your dentist removes it |
| Number of implants | Usually two to four | Usually four or more |
| Feel | Much steadier than a regular denture | Closest to natural, fixed teeth |
| Cleaning | Brush the denture and the posts | Brush and floss around the bridge |
Your bone, your bite and your budget all point toward one or the other. If you are weighing a whole new set of teeth, see our full mouth implant options.

Only missing one or two teeth?
Not every Mount Prospect patient needs a full arch. A single implant with its own crown can replace one lost tooth without filing down the teeth beside it.
If a back tooth has been missing for a while, the teeth around the gap can drift and the bone can shrink. That can add a step such as bone grafting, so coming in sooner usually keeps the plan simpler.
Two missing teeth side by side can often be replaced with two implants or an implant bridge. The space and the bone decide which.

How to choose a dental implant dentist near Mount Prospect
Implant results depend on planning as much as surgery. When you compare offices, ask these questions:
- What implant training does the dentist have? Dr. Poles holds Diplomate status with the ICOI and IDIA and trained at the ILAPEO Institute in Curitiba, Brazil, in 2022 and 2025.
- Who places the implant and who fits the teeth? At Omni Dental, both happen in one office with Dr. Poles.
- Can you get a written estimate? Ask for your treatment options, each step and each fee in writing before you start.
On Google, 541 reviewers have given Omni Dental an average of 5.0.

What to expect before, during and after treatment
- Before: Dr. Poles will assess your oral health with an exam, X-rays and a review of your medications. Any infected teeth or gum disease are treated first, for the long-term health of the implants.
- During: implants are placed with local anesthesia. If you wear a denture, you learn how to manage while you heal.
- After: the bone bonds with the implants over several weeks to months. Your dentist will give you aftercare instructions for your case.
- Final teeth: your new denture or bridge is fitted and adjusted until your bite feels right and you feel comfortable eating.

Questions
Frequently asked questions
Do not see your question? Call us and we will talk it through.
Call (847) 483-8833Is it worth getting dental implants at 70?
For many people it is. Healthy older adults often do well with implants, and an implant denture can make eating much easier than a loose plate. Gum health, bone, medical conditions and how you heal matter more than age, and Dr. Poles reviews each of these with you at the consultation.
What is the average cost of dental implants in Illinois?
Averages say little about your own case. Your fee depends on how many implants you need, any extraction or bone graft, and whether a crown, bridge or denture goes on top. After your exam, ask for a written estimate so you can compare options clearly.
What is the newest procedure for dental implants?
Recent changes are mostly about planning and fewer implants doing more work, such as full-arch designs that hold a whole row of teeth on four or more posts. The right method is the one that suits your bone and bite, not the newest name, so ask your dentist why a plan fits you.
Where is the most inexpensive place to get dental implants?
The lowest quote is not always the lowest cost over time. Compare the dentist's implant training, what the fee includes (exam, X-rays, grafting, the final tooth) and who handles problems later. Ask every office for a written plan so you can compare like with like.
Can my current denture be fitted onto implants?
Sometimes. If your denture fits well and is in good shape, it may be possible to adapt it to snap onto implants. If it is worn or loose, a new denture made for the implants usually works better. Dr. Poles checks your current denture at your visit.
How many implants does it take to hold a denture?
A lower snap-in denture is often held by two implants, while an upper denture usually needs more because the bone is softer. Fixed full-arch teeth use four or more. The right number depends on your bone and the style of denture you choose.
